The Artwork created at Deerpaths Studio reflects my experiences in rural and urban environments. Drawings and paintings capture intensity, tranquility or energy of a moment, with particular emphasis on structure and movement.

My artistic inspiration comes from the beauty of the natural landscape, my love of Northern Wisconsin, my worldwide travels, and my background as a professional architect. Structure is often evident in the controlled grids and defined lines that form the many layers of images within my paintings.

I strive to resolve the conflict between the beauty of the natural landscape and the artificiality of the man made environment. A graduate the University Notre Dame, I worked as an architect in Chicago. Upon graduation from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago I established Deerpaths Studio
